Job Description
As the Social Media Community Engagement Coordinator, you’ll be the front-line digital ambassador of CrossExamined—interacting daily with millions of followers across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
Your mission: foster meaningful dialogue, answer tough questions, and represent the ministry’s tone and truth with excellence and grace. You’ll monitor trends, track audience sentiment, and bring insights to the creative and leadership teams to help shape our online strategy and strengthen our digital impact.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Audience Engagement and Community Building
- Serve as the daily voice of CrossExamined across all major social media platforms.
- Respond to comments, direct messages, and questions in a clear, professional, and ministry-aligned tone.
- Encourage constructive, thoughtful dialogue while protecting the integrity of CrossExamined’s online presence.
- Direct users to relevant videos, podcasts, and resources that help them explore truth and strengthen their faith.
Digital Culture and Trend Awareness
- Track trending topics, viral conversations, and cultural moments relevant to faith, apologetics, and worldview.
- Identify online discussions where CrossExamined can add value or clarity.
- Provide weekly insights and “pulse reports” on audience sentiment and engagement patterns.
Event and Campaign Support
- Participate in live engagement during Frank Turek’s campus events, livestreams, and key content launches.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Creative Services team to ensure engagement aligns with scheduled campaigns.
- Help plan comment strategies, live Q&As, and follow-up interactions to deepen engagement.
Insights and Collaboration
- Compile monthly reports summarizing engagement highlights, audience feedback, and recurring themes.
- Communicate emerging questions or objections to inform future content direction.
- Work closely with Marketing & Creative Services team to refine messaging and audience connection.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2+ years of experience in social media engagement, audience development, or community management. This is an ideal position for recent college graduates.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with strong cultural awareness.
- Proficiency with social media analytics and publishing tools (Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, etc.).
- Knowledge of Christian apologetics, Dr. Frank Turek and CrossExamined’s mission to defend truth and equip believers.
- Sound judgment in handling sensitive or controversial online conversations.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends for live events and engagement spikes.
- Reliable, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities without constant supervision.
Distinctive Advantages

Work Environment
- Fully remote, collaborative role working closely with the Marketing & Creative Services team.
- Requires flexibility for nontraditional hours during live events or social spikes.

Compensation & Benefits
- Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Entry Level: $18-22/hr. Developing Professional: $22-26/hr.
- Equipment Provided: CrossExamined will supply a ministry-issued laptop and required software for remote work.
- Training & Development: Includes onboarding and ongoing training in social media engagement, apologetics communication, and ministry standards.
