Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Creative Services leads CrossExamined’s creative and production teams to ensure flawless execution of all content supporting Frank Turek’s podcasts, live events, and digital campaigns.

This position provides strategic input during ministry planning and is responsible for executing creative deliverables across multiple platforms, including social media, video, web, and email. The Senior Manager oversees graphic design, video editing, and copywriting, ensuring that every creative element meets brand standards, communicates effectively, and enhances audience engagement.

This role is both strategic and hands-on, managing people, projects, and processes that bring CrossExamined’s mission to life through powerful, high-quality creative work.


Key Responsibilities

1. Creative Direction and Execution

  • Oversee creative production for all Frank Turek content, including podcasts, livestreams, event promotions, and social media campaigns.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of graphic designers, video editors, and writers to deliver high-quality digital and visual assets.
  • Ensure all creative materials (graphics, short-form videos, copy, and website pages) meet professional standards, align with brand voice, and support ministry goals.
  • Approve and provide feedback on creative assets before publication or distribution.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to ensure assets are optimized for engagement across platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, etc.).

2. Event and Podcast Support

  • Oversee creative support for all of Frank Turek’s content, the cornerstone of which is the “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist” podcast, including podcast uploads to multiple platforms (Apple, radio, RLN, Pray.com, etc.); thumbnails, video clips, episode descriptions, social media postings, and web pages. Ensures all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure coordination between the creative, technical, and social media teams for seamless production and promotion.

3. Team Leadership and Workflow Management

  • Supervise and mentor the creative team, including producers, graphic designers, video editors, and copywriters.
  • Assign, prioritize, and track creative work to ensure timely completion and quality control.
  • Maintain clear communication among all team members to align creative deliverables with ministry initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback for direct reports.

4. Cross-Platform Content and Brand Management

  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital and print assets.
  • Review and refine visual and written materials for clarity, theology, and tone.
  • Provide creative input for new website pages, course launches, and email campaigns.
  • Work with designers and editors to ensure creative assets are properly formatted and implemented online.

5. Strategic Planning and Collaboration

  • Contribute to strategic content and campaign planning with leadership.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable creative plans and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to improve creative processes, efficiency, and impact.
  • Stay current with digital media trends, technologies, and best practices to continually elevate the ministry’s creative output.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in creative direction, marketing, or content production leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage a multidisciplinary team (design, video, writing) and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in creative tools such as Canva.
  • Understanding of video formats, social media specs, and digital storytelling best practices.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing abilities; keen eye for detail and theological accuracy.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance creativity with executional discipline.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of CrossExamined and comfort working in a faith-based environment.

  • Fully remote, collaborative team structure.
  • Flexible hours required to support Frank Turek’s live events, podcasts, and digital launches, often outside traditional office hours.
