The Graphics Designer supports creative projects across CrossExamined and its related business units: Online Christian Courses (OCC), Impact Apologetics (IA), and CrossExamined Español (CE Spanish), helping each area visually communicate truth with excellence and consistency. This support may extend to CE International as needed.
Job Description
The Graphics Designer contributes to the visual storytelling and brand identity of CrossExamined and its business units by producing creative, high-quality graphics and design assets for digital, print, and video platforms.
Working under the direction of the Senior Creative Services Manager, this role assists with social media content, promotional graphics, course visuals, advertising campaigns, and Spanish-language adaptations. This support may be extended to CE International as needed. The position requires creativity, collaboration, and attention to detail to maintain brand integrity across all ministries and audiences.
Core Responsibilities
1. Design and Creative Production
- Create and format designs for:
- Social media graphics and campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, and others.
- Podcast thumbnails, livestream visuals, and short-form video elements supporting CrossExamined and CE Spanish.
- Web graphics, banners, and email headers for marketing campaigns, newsletters, and online promotions.
- Product and resource designs for Impact Apologetics (IA).
- Online course visuals and workbook materials for OCC, ensuring readability and visual engagement.
- Adapt and resize graphics for multiple platforms while maintaining quality and brand cohesion.
- Follow direction from the Senior Manager of Creative Services and ensure design deliverables meet CrossExamined’s creative and theological standards.
2. Support for CrossExamined Español (and other CEI countries as needed)
- Adapt existing English-language designs for Spanish-language audiences, ensuring cultural accuracy, proper formatting, and brand alignment.
- Collaborate with CE Spanish team members (and CEI) to deliver translated graphics for social media, courses, and digital promotions.
- Maintain organized design files and asset versions to streamline communication with international and bilingual teams.
3. Collaboration and Workflow
- Work closely with the Senior Graphics Designer to execute assigned projects and maintain design timelines.
- Coordinate with the Digital Projects Manager, Copywriter, and Social Media Manager to ensure messaging and design are cohesive.
- Respond to creative direction and feedback promptly, contributing to an efficient design workflow.
- Support cross-ministry campaigns that require shared creative resources or simultaneous release schedules.
4. Brand Consistency and Creative Quality
- Uphold CrossExamined’s visual identity standards across all brands and media types.
- Ensure typography, color, and imagery consistently reflect the ministry’s tone and professionalism.
- Contribute creative input during design development to enhance clarity, engagement, and appeal.
- Stay informed on digital design trends, particularly in social media and faith-based communications, to keep content current and effective.
5. File Management and Documentation
- Maintain organized file structures for all design assets related to CrossExamined, OCC, IA, and CE Spanish.
- Ensure proper naming conventions, backups, and shared folder management for team accessibility.
- Provide final artwork and working files as needed for use across other departments or teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of professional experience in digital design, preferably in marketing, education, or ministry media.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or comparable design tools.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and digital composition.
- Experience designing for social media, email marketing, and online course environments.
- Basic video or motion graphics experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with CrossExamined’s mission and values.
