Job Overview
The Associate Producer supports the production and post-production of CrossExamined’s media content, including Dr. Frank Turek’s podcast and livestreams as well as the CrossExamined Español podcast.
This role assists the Producer and Senior Manager of Creative Services in preparing, organizing, editing, and publishing video and audio content to ensure that every production reflects CrossExamined’s brand excellence and technical quality. The Associate Producer contributes to both the creative and technical aspects of production, including helping with setup, editing, file management, and publishing on platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, Rumble, Pray.com, Real Life Network and Apple Podcasts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Support
- Assist the Producer with pre-production planning and execution of podcast and livestream recordings for Dr. Frank Turek.
- Support the production of the CrossExamined Español podcast by developing content, coordinating assets, scheduling recordings, and assisting in post-production.
- Provide live recording support as needed, including scheduling monitors and managing chat interactions or technical logistics.
- Ensure all recorded media and files are properly organized, labeled, and archived.
2. Post-Production Assistance
- Support the editing and assembly of podcast and video content under the Producer’s direction.
- Supply raw episode files and coordinate with the Creative Services team for graphic elements, lower thirds, thumbnails, and branding assets. This support may extend to CE International as needed.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all published content meets CrossExamined’s technical and brand standards.
3. Publishing and Distribution
- Upload finalized episodes to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other publishing platforms.
- Coordinate with the Copywriter and Social Media team to ensure podcast descriptions and promotional posts are accurate and on time.
- Monitor uploads for formatting errors or technical issues and correct as needed.
4. Collaboration and Creative Development
- Assist in planning promotional or behind-the-scenes media to support upcoming events, campaigns, or guest interviews.
- Provide creative input on editing, pacing, and overall presentation of video and audio content.
- Provide raw episode files to Creative Services team and to CE International as needed so they can develop episode thumbnails, descriptions, social media posts and edit clips.
5. Technical and Administrative Support
- Assist with setting up, testing, and maintaining recording and livestream equipment when needed.
- Maintain organized logs of episode files, schedules, and production assets.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to video, audio, or publishing platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Film/TV Production, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in podcast or video production, preferably in a digital or ministry environment.
- Proficiency in audio/video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, or similar tools.
- Basic familiarity with livestreaming tools (Restream and others).
- Strong organizational and file management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Alignment with CrossExamined’s Christian mission and values.
Work Environment

The Associate Producer will be evaluated on:
