Position Summary
The Social Media Coordinator supports CrossExamined’s growing digital presence by executing the daily scheduling, uploading, and organization of content across all ministry accounts, including CrossExamined.org, Online Christian Courses, and Impact Apologetics.
Working under the direction of the Social Media Manager, this person ensures that all content is published on time, formatted correctly, tagged appropriately, and consistent with CrossExamined’s voice and brand guidelines.
The Social Media Coordinator must be flexible and available to support the ministry’s dynamic schedule, including live events, time-sensitive posts, and real-time coordination when Frank is speaking or traveling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Content Scheduling and Posting
- Schedule, upload, and publish approved content across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok, etc.) according to the content and promotions calendars.
- Verify that all captions, hashtags, links, and media assets are accurate and optimized for each platform.
- Coordinate with editors, designers, and video producers to gather final creative assets.
- Ensure timely posting for ministry campaigns, podcasts, and live events—even outside traditional hours.
2. Calendar and Workflow Support
- Assist the Social Media Manager in maintaining the master content calendar and ensuring deadlines for uploads and scheduling are met.
- Organize and update shared content folders, file naming, and asset libraries for team accessibility.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure their campaign materials are integrated into the posting schedule.
3. Campaign and Event Support
- Support posting for course launches, podcast promotions, donor appeals, and ministry initiatives.
- Support the Social Media Manager and Community Engagement Coordinator during Frank’s live events, ensuring that real-time updates and pre-scheduled posts go out as planned.
- Help monitor platform performance during high-traffic windows to ensure posts and videos are running correctly.
4. Analytics and Reporting
- Collect and organize post-level data for weekly and monthly analytics reports.
- Track engagement, reach, and performance metrics across all accounts.
- Identify top-performing content and emerging trends for review by the Social Media Manager.
5. Collaboration and Communication
- Coordinate with the Community Engagement Coordinator to ensure content that invites discussion or interaction is posted strategically.
- Monitor comment sections only as needed for moderation alerts, flagging issues to the appropriate team member.
- Help ensure that engagement-related posts are published in sync with audience activity patterns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in social media coordination or digital communications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented and comfortable with fast-changing priorities.
- Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Agora Pulse, etc.).
- Solid understanding of major social platforms and best practices for publishing and optimization.
- Reliable and responsive; comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events and live content.
- Alignment with CrossExamined’s mission and values; familiarity with Christian apologetics preferred.
Work Environment
- Fully remote position requiring consistent collaboration with the Social Media Manager, Community Engagement Coordinator, and creative team.
- Flexible schedule: availability during nontraditional hours is required to support live events, major campaigns, and online engagement cycles.
